Meth destroys a generation
I watched a show The City addicted to Crystal Meth based in America and at times it was not easy to watch as it bought back so many bad memories of my son's days of being addicted. I could easily relate with the grandmother who had been bringing up her grandkids because her daughter was addicted and now her grandson was too. I felt her pain of trying to hang on with all her will to keep her family together but as always meth won.

Each person told the same story that they did not want to be on meth but it was easier to stay on it than to feel the pain of the past and get off it. Most of them were unemployed so it is much cheaper to get meth at $10 and feel better so they could function rather than seek help through counselling, doctors etc. They can go to rehab and get themselves cleaned up but because the whole town is affected when they move back home someone within the house, family or friends are using so before too long they are back on drugs.
So many sad stories of mums losing their children either because they were taken away by social services or they too are lost in the drug world. So many damaged little kids that are being bought up in the drug scene and then have to chose what path to take and some taking the drug path by age 11.
I can't tell you in words how so very thankful I am that my son got off this fuck'n merry go round of drugs that is destroying families, communities and whole suburbs.
We are going to see a lot more lost generations.....to drugs.
